Thanks for checking out the High Cliff Ultra! We're super excited to host an event like this in Northeast Wisconsin! We love the trails at High Cliff State Park and we think you will too! We want to make your experience as enjoyable as possible from start to finish. Whether you're a trail running rookie or an experienced veteran we hope you'll find tons of joy during the High Cliff Ultra. We'll do everything we can before, during, and after the event to help make it a successful and memorable time.

A Wisconsin state park sticker is required to park in High Cliff State Park. Each registration will receive one FREE day pass!
7 hours for the 25k. This means you'll have to average about 27 minutes per mile or better.
Each finisher will receive a one of a kind hand crafted finisher medal. We really like them and we think you will too.

If you like handmade pizza dough, sauce that's been perfected, and locally grown seasonal ingredients then I've got just the place for you! The finish line! WildFire Pizza from Two Rivers, Wisconsin will be handcrafting pizzas just for you after a great day on the trails.
Along with some other finish line goodies, we'll have locally made soda on tap from Twigs Beverage, in Shawano, WI
This is all free for racers and volunteers. Anyone else wanting to partake in tasty finish line foods and beverages needs a finish line ticket, which can be pre-ordered for $16 until midnight on Wednesday, Aug. 2nd, or bought for $22/each on race day. Pre-ordering ensures there’s plenty for everyone.
Registration is done online only and is open until August 2, 2017 at 11:59:59pm. The price is $45.
Bib pick-up and check-in begins at 5:45am and ends at 8:30am.
There may be a Friday night pick-up and check-in option. Please check back or join our mailing list for updates.
There is NO race day registration.
Bib pick-up is located in the Upper Pavillion.
Runners should be to the starting area around 8:45am to begin the race at 9:00am. (25k)

The entire course is run on trails with the exception of a couple road crossings. There is a short section of paved trail and the rest are a mix of grass, rocks, gravel, dirt, and wood chips. There will be 2 fully stocked aid stations (#1 = 1 visit and #2 = 2 visits) on the course and 1 water only aid station (#3 = 1 visit). We will be offering Tailwind Nutrition at each fully stocked aid station. The course brings you back to the start/finish area 3 times. Your family, friends, and crew will have plenty of opportunities to see you.
There won't be any paper/plastic cups at aid stations, and there won't be any paper/plastic cups at the finish-line. We won't be making any exceptions to this rule. Please make sure you have your own container for water, soda, and electrolyte drinks.

Crew can assist runners at aid stations only. Please do not follow your runner on the course or aid them in other areas of the park. You're able to see your runner 3 times during the race without having to drive anywhere. Please keep the traffic to a minimum in the park by following this rule. The race staff, other runners, and park visitors thank you for helping with their safety.
There will be a tarp at both fully stocked aid stations (#1 and #2) for runners that would like to use a drop bag. It is the runner's responsibility to place the bags on the tarps before the race and pick them up after the race.
1. No littering. None. Don't do it. Bring it in, bring it out.
2. Be nice. Be nice to each other, be nice to the volunteers, be nice to other park and trail users.
3. Have fun.
Violation of rules 1 and 2 will get you disqualified. If you are observed violating rule 3 (i.e., not having fun) we may withhold your post-race food and drink.
We host a few fun training runs before race day. We can help you learn the trails and help answer any questions you might have about trail running or the race itself.
